This video that I chose to write my reflection on is about how to go to space without actually going to space. Angelo Vermeulen is a multidisciplinary which is another type of scientist but more of a real life simulator of simulating through space to prepare astronauts or even get an idea of going up into space. I personally think that he and his team have a great idea because this can really help us get a better idea of going to space without physically going to space. This project will cost over 100 million dollars just to have a single prototype to give to one astronaut.
Angelo and his crew have been working on this project for a year. They have a team of 8 people and they had to be locked in a simulator for 4 months straight just working on there project 24/7. Over the 4 months they have gotten tremendous work done like being able to have a person to sit in the simulator and have slight motion to the simulator. They aren't even close to completing it though because they are only working on the first prototype. This could take years just to make a proper official space simulator. Angelo was explaining how this is a huge process and the longest task he has ever done in his career.
I believe that this project has a future in helping us as a society and our astronauts to understand the reality of space and how interesting it can be just by going into a real life simulator. This simulator really interests me because I would like to have experience in the simulator to understand the life of going up into outer space and what lift off is like or at least an idea of what its like.
I believe that this task will help us get a better point of view on what space can be like and its environment. Also it is a great visual of what space is really like. I enjoyed writing about this video about space cause it seemed interesting and t was.
